Question STi car alarm issue

LoJack has been mentioned in this area, but no indication of an alarm. The STi has the keyless entry, but usually the alarm that goes in the WRX is installed at the factory. There's no mention of any option other than the radio, so will the alarm be offered as a dealer installed option? (BTW a search was done, but nothing was found)

The alarm is a dealer installed plug in to the keyless entry system.
The LoJack in my WRX is integrated into the keyless entry, so I still have the original remote.

Alarm is not done at the factory but at the port. All indication is that yes it will be available.

Unless alarm deactivates teh engine (chip key like a BMW and otehr cars) its useless. It will just wake your neighbors up when jets go over or some similar event. LoJak on teh otehrhand is a good product and worth teh money. Does teh STI have a chip type key or is it like teh WRX?

It better have a chip for what we are paying for the car. ****. It should at least have a fuel cut off if the wrong key is used.

No chip int the key. The alarm upgrade has an ignition kill though, I think. I know my LoJack does.
