Default samco MAF adapter hose..

well decided after the samco I/C hose install i would add a little more flair to the underhood/eng bay area.. bought the MAF hose from www.vividracing.com delivered just today...well went to take a look at what i was in for.. looked easy, loosened the clamps, removed the stock MAF hose piece.. all is good. went to install the samco unit and what do i discover... it is larger than the stock piece? WTH.... not only larger but enough so that on my car the stock clamps could not be re-used, they just won't fit.. well need less to say that's where it stands until tomorrow... seems the only local auto parts open late, autozone did not have a large enough clamp to use... will try tomorrow.. if anyone has connections with samco, or there main dist they might want to drop them a line to tell them about the little problem... not sure how hard the clamps are going to be to find...anyone else tried this? what was your outcome?

Sears hardware has a pretty good selection of bigger hose clamps.

Just go to Home Depot. They'll have what you need. Get the clamp with a 4" i.d. if I recall correctly. And no, it doesn't do anything performance wise.
