Default 98-03 aftermarket parts on my04?

as the title states, will previous generation 2.5rs parts fit on the new cars? if not what kind of aftermarket support do you think the 2.5rs will see

I'm assuming that things that fit the 02-03 2.5RS (including 98-01 parts that fit the 02-03) should fit the 04+ no problem since it was only a facelift and not a completely new design...im not sure though..it looks like pretty much the same body...

as for 2.5RS aftermarket performance support...I believe it has enough quality products to keep you happy...don't expect anything new..

and as far as dress-up is concerned, if you get a 04 you can just feed off the stuff companies make for the 04 wrxs...

very true, and i assume that worst case, the suspension and brake parts for the wrx will more then likely fit on the 2.5, so all i might suffer on would be engine parts, but i'm not planning on touching that to much for the first year or so, i'd rather get it paid off sooner, and not void the warrenty before any potential problems might show themselves

i'm being told go for a wrx, but to be honest, i don't make enough to afford a wrx, and being a grad student, my parents are nice enough to pay my insurance, and i really don't want to stick them with paying an extra 1000 a year

New bodied 2.5's will take all the WRX dressup/suspension/cat-back bits. Engine bits (internals, intakes, pullies, etc) will be the same as 00+ (some parts from 98/99 might fit, but they have a completely different intake system). Electronics (S-AFCs, ITCs, E-Manage, etc) are universal and will fit... how well you can get them to work is another matter.

i will man

not sure what color i'm going to go for, i really like everything but the red and yellow, but i don't even mind them that much

green just doesn't look right on a sedan, nice on a wagon though, i think i'll probably go blue or silver, or maybe black, but not to sure about the black
