Thumbs down National Grand Prix Gone Forever

I just read this news:

http://www.washtimes.com/sports/20030404-82149517.htm

I was hoping that ALMS would come back in 2004, but I guess that's out of the question. It's sad that no major racing series (excluding NASCAR) comes to the Mid-Atlantic region.

That blows man. It was cool to be able to metro to a road race in my backyard, smell the gasoline and brakedust. Not to mention getting my ear drums popped by something other then 20 inch club speakers.

Sons of boitches!! I'm 12 kinds of pissed right now. They should just burn that *****hole area to the ground with the human flotsam in it. F' them and their ***'in noise complaints. That race was awesome and my only motivation to ever travel to DC (the ghetto armpit that it is). Cok eating dirtbag pig fckers.

My sentiments exactly. Thanks Bob for saving me from typing something similar.

Hey bob while your at go mow down those houses next to 6 flags that kept complaining about noise and are the reason why autocrossers can't use 6 flags anymore Ok people you live in a crowded area, if you want silence move out into a nice little log cabin in the country and take your SUV with you, then it can actually go off road for once. Otherwise please kindly shut the hell up and quit your whining.

this reminds me of the rich Fu**s out in california that thought it would be trendy to move out to the area surrounding Laguna Seca (which was previously barren) and then proceed to complain and bitch about the noise. (and now charge over 100k per day if you want to have a dB limit over 95db)

rich ******** get the :monkey:

of course, in this case, the people complaining are poor trash that are complaining only to hear themselves speak......

Or try this one on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Sportmans club(hunting, fishing, shooting etc club) i used to belong to was out in the boonies. We have ranges, trap ,skeet, kids pond, clubhouse etc with around ten acres of property.Been there fr 30 years at least.
Well the suburbs start to move out and around the club.We saw the handwriting on the wall and installed 2,, 10ft by 15ft signs, facing the properties being sold .The signs stated, briefly, that this area is a shooting range and normal operations would continue so you mite wanna think twice about buying a house here because there WILL be noise here .
These signs were posted BEFORE the land was subdivided into lots for sale.
Well they built the houses, sold them like hotcakes(the signs were directly across the street from the sales office) and business continued as usual.
Well you guys know the rest,,after about a year the neighbors complained about,,,,,the noise!!
They got a lawyer,,we allready had a few lawyers as members and went to court.
The judge said to our wonderfull neighbors and asked their lawyers if his clients were blind as well as stupid
The club still functions very well and we still maintain the signs just to be good neighbors

Well, thank god I made it to last year's race. Getting burned under the 120 degree sun for 4 hours seem worth it now.
