HEY FUTURE DUMMIES, THIS THREAD IS 7 YEARS OLD!
For those of you that are old enough (and true North Shore townies) you will remember the actual "Tree" from the Liberty Tree Mall. I have a substantial portion of the original tree that I will be selling. This is not something "cool" to put in your dorm room or barn. It is an expensive and significant commercial structure. Most likely it will be sold to a local business owner to preserve and display as an attraction. So, if you know a local businessman that may be interested, they can contact me. I am hoping to sell this by word-of-mouth before summer arrives, at which time I will be actively advertising. Serious inquiries only please.

If memory serves me correctly, it kinda looked like a Beech tree spray painted platinum....real artsy. I think there was some kind of fountain asociated w/ it. My question is how the heck did Angus end up w/ this treasure?

I hate to dig up a 7 year old post, but what ever happened to the tree???
I had an old memory of the "Liberty Tree" pop in my head the other day. I thought it was something I'd dreamed up, but after a little googling, I came across this post. I used to frequent this mall as a kid. My dad and aunt both grew up in Peabody. I'd love to see a picture of the old tree in the mall. I also remember the old wooden soldiers that were in the North Shore Mall at Christmas years ago. Last edited by WRX-1977; 04-05-2010 at 02:37 AM. Reason: typo |
