Arrow fs local: "Liberty Tree" serious inquiries only

HEY FUTURE DUMMIES, THIS THREAD IS 7 YEARS OLD!

For those of you that are old enough (and true North Shore townies) you will remember the actual "Tree" from the Liberty Tree Mall. I have a substantial portion of the original tree that I will be selling.

This is not something "cool" to put in your dorm room or barn. It is an expensive and significant commercial structure. Most likely it will be sold to a local business owner to preserve and display as an attraction.

So, if you know a local businessman that may be interested, they can contact me. I am hoping to sell this by word-of-mouth before summer arrives, at which time I will be actively advertising.

Serious inquiries only please.

I don't really fit that description but I must admit, my curiosity is peaked. Was this synthetic or was it an actual tree that eventually got preserved? Do you have any pictures or backround information?

Thanks,
Fitz

If memory serves me correctly, it kinda looked like a Beech tree spray painted platinum....real artsy. I think there was some kind of fountain asociated w/ it. My question is how the heck did Angus end up w/ this treasure?

I can remeber the hobby shop that was where the Panera Bread place is now, it was great
They had 3 Tall cases with glass shelves full of Diecast models
that is where I got most of the ones that I have today

Ahh the Memories

Then then North Shore mall was rebuilt...

Angus is this the tree that was on the sign near the highway?

I used to the Store Mangler of Spencer Gifts in the Liberty Tree Mall, up until about 3 months before it closed for the expansion of Bed Bath and Beyond (or whatever's there this week) . We called it the "Ghetto Mall" though . Everyone who got booted from North Shore ended up there...

I hate to dig up a 7 year old post, but what ever happened to the tree???

I had an old memory of the "Liberty Tree" pop in my head the other day. I thought it was something I'd dreamed up, but after a little googling, I came across this post. I used to frequent this mall as a kid. My dad and aunt both grew up in Peabody. I'd love to see a picture of the old tree in the mall.

I also remember the old wooden soldiers that were in the North Shore Mall at Christmas years ago.
