Default ATNN: all N/A forum members...

Would you all like a sticky thread something to the affect of.

'the CAI and Exhaust thread.

one place to discuss what exhaust/CAI combo you have, where you got it and why you like it? Pro/cons type of deal?

Just thought it might help and cut down on exhaust and CAI threads, if it could all be found in one place.

rock the vote.
poll is set for 5 days.

I think a weight reduction sticky or forum would be more useful.

no one reads the 'Announcements/Threads of Note ' thread.. and it links to all sorts of intake / exhaust info. IF anything, add to that sticky, and when people ask the same questions, answer it, and point them there...
Stickys = Bad.

I have noticed the strong influx of repeating exhaust and intake threads as well.

I think it's a good idea....as long as the thread title is large and clear, so you can see it as soon as you click in the N/A forum.

Point folks to existing information. A centralized source of information on this is good, but we dont' need another sticky.

If you add a sticky for this, why not put separate ones up on pulleys, cams, heads, etc.? (not being a smartass, just asking a serious question.) I don't really think that it's a good idea, but it would make sense to cover all the bases with stickys instead of just hitting on the intake/exhaust part of the show.

Edit: "Existing information" = FAQ thread that is already stuck.

ok, only n00bs don't see the sticky's... most people realize that if its important enough to be stuck at the top of a forum, its important must read info...

To answer your question

There are two basic mods that I say about 95% of NA owners will do in the life of their car, and they are usually pretty close to the begining.

The average NA owner is not going to put cams and heads. I can garantee they will do an exhaust/CAI set up. Second there arent many companines that offer heads/cams. On the othe hand, there are many that supply exhaust/CAI, by far the most popular mods. I dont see half as many threads about pullys and cams etc.

This will cut down on the number of of CAI/exhaust threads by more than half, and would be a good resource for information about different set ups.

The result will be decided by the poll. , so vote not much time left.

thanks for the input

Thumbs down

But what about all the new folks that would miss out on the Subie family chit-chat? Would they be instructed to not post a question, but read what others have already done or discussed? I can understand the point of cutting down on the number of posts, but I don't know that it would be very welcoming for new people going forward.
