Default 1.8 fuel pump

is the 93 EJ18 fuel pump flowing as much as the 2001 2.5 fuel pump? I just want to know if it could work for a while, like for a road test of my 2.5. thanks

I read a post awhile back of someone trying this since it was physically the same or a bit larger than the RS/WRX pump. They quickly learned that it doesn't pump as much volume. To the point of being too lean at anything much above idle.

YMMV, but I would have a backup plan at least...

I don't know if fuel pumps are backwards compatible or not....
