Howdy,
I just updated my electronic parts catalogs with new cd's. And guess what car is in there? Anyone? Yep, MY04 STi. If you have any specific questions, maybe I can find out. There isn't any specifications listed as to what size parts are, but you can tell alot about how things are put together from th parts explosion diagrams. For instance, the trans has an oil pan, an oil pickup and an oil pump inside. I thought that was cool. Another little tidbit, the water spray for the intercooler is a purpose built tank in the trunk. I couldn't find the switch to control it or the DCCD, doesn't mean that they are there, just means I can't find them yet. But it's only a sneak peak, there's not to many things available and most don't have prices yet. Cheers, Brian

I don't know how reliable this info is. The post I read it from was pretty early on. I though someone posted that it was a VF-34.
Found it http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...highlight=VF34 Last edited by StiDreams; 04-11-2003 at 11:57 PM. |

The mention of the parts book made me think he was a tech. I'll try and pm the guy and see if he will respond.

It would be nice to have a confirmation on the turbo model and to know the model number of the brakes, maybe their dimensions if possible.

Hey guys, you're asking the wrong questions. LangstonSubaru is looking at the updated Subaru parts database. It has exploded diagrams of assemblies and their component parts. It has Subaru part numbers. It doesn't explain who originally manufactured the turbo or the brakes. It does give Subaru part numbers for those components so that replacements can be ordered.
So appropriate questions (ones that LangstonSubaru could answer by looking at the Subaru parts database) would be: - What's the part number for the STi uppipe? - What's the part number for the STi turbo? - What's the part number for the STi short block assembly? - Where's the front A/F sensor mounted - before or after the turbo? - Is the STi front A/F sensor's part number the same as the WRX's? |

Additional questions for 'LangstonSubaru',
What size is the spare wheel & tire assembly? There should be an annotation in your screen toward the size and width of the rim as well as the fitted tire. As mentioned earlier, part number and/or sizing information toward the front & rear brake rotor and caliper would also be greatly appreciated. - Janq |

I'm assuming it is specifically designed/sized for it.
I did a search and couldn't find any other mention of the new designation anywhere, so at the very least I believe it to be a new IHI configuration. I've been trying to get CFM numbers. If someone can refer me to a page that can calc it from impeller size, A/R, port diameters etc that would be helpful. Subaru have been very careful with the selection of components for this car, especially with the engine and driveline. Everything is "just right". Glenn |

Jon's right, all I can usually do are part numbers.
up pipe 44104fe090 turbo 14411aa572 short block isn't produced yet, only have part numbers for complete engine 10100bk600 A/F seems in same location 22641aa211 no size on spare tire and no part number for spare tire rim also of some interest, I can't find a part number for injectors, even with an electric throttle body, I assume there still hase to be injectors, somewhere anyhow! Cheers. |
