You should give Technik a call as I was inquiring too. I think for the GC8's Minnam made a turbo kit. It's been discussed around at the other chapters in this forum. Forgot whos got it, btu two people from NASIOC have it.

I'm just wondering if anybody makes a supercharger kit for the 2.5

Edit: Your warranty will be thrown out BTW. Make sure you take that into account before doing anything. Your car is still new and I know for my car, I just had a Check Engine Light three days ago. I'm going to ride out my warranty before I do something like a turbo/sc.

There is a AVO turbo kit for 2.5L engine. It claim to have 212 wheel HP with 6 psi of boost. SPO Motorsport list it at 4.2K US. I think there was a supercharger for the 2.5 but I think the company folded.

Vic totally re-did it. He now has a front mount intercooler, some very nice piping. And ahost of other stuff. Tuning can be difficult. It depends how fast you want it. If you just want a simple turbo running low boost then it is not overly difficult. If you want to talk about a lot of tuning in a car talk to Hojai. Without a 4-wheel dyno in Vancouver it makes it more difficult to tune and get a Subaru (turbo) running perfectly.

Reliability? It depends on your tuning.

Parts you need is a aftermarket computer, turbo, piping, oil pan with oil return, gauges, fuel pump, injectors, down pipe, wastegate, feed pipe, oil catch can. All I can think of right now.

I tend to find that the car kicks harder during the first and second gear, I think this is because of the gearing. But the RPM does climb very fast in 6th gear. Before with my N/A it would take forever to reach speed that I thought was impossible for my car.

It will take probably a day's work to get everything installed. You can get a front mount intercooler in the future if you want, just that you'll have to find a front mount intercooler and redo all your air piping and cut your front bumper. I suggest if you want a front mount you might as well save up and just do this once.

The president/former president (I won't get into the politics) of the Toronto Subaru Club turbo'd his Legacy GT recently. If you check out the TSC site Toronto Subaru Club and search for 2.5 turbo you should be able to find a nice long thread on it. I would post a link to the thread, but for some reason cut and paste doesn't work for me with the TSC site.

His name is JoeT. I know he posts in the Canada Forum here too, so you might be able to ask him for info in there. He is very knowledgeable and informative when it comes to technical stuff. He has dyno numbers posted somewhere, although I believe it was done at a 2WD dyno.
