OK so I FINALLY got to put my car to the test yesterday in an autocross.
WOW its SO much different/better than it was last year (only had a rear sway/muffler/MBC and all seasons)
The car feels SO composed in the turns, I no longer fear the slalom! In fact I LOVE it. With the new found power, hitting a mini straight at full throttle then nailing a hard turn (yesterdays clamshells) is pure joy. I turned onto the straight, nailed it, the car spun the tires SURGED forward hard, I got close to the turn, nailed the binders, let off right before the turn and was greeted by just a TOUCH of oversteer that feels like I was being slingshoted around the turn.
When I made any bonehead mistakes(like accelerating in the slalom

) I was VERY easily able to regain the cars composure and get back into rhythm.
I think with a lot of practice, this will be a pretty mean autocrossing machine.

Nah, you should see it when somebody wipes out the timing equipment..

But my personal favorite was watching a BMW go through the finish sideways .

I miss autocrossing

I can't wait to get the Opel's suspension and brakes sorted out so I can play again!
