Default Another ej20 source thread...

Like the title says, I need a source for a complete wrx drivetrain. I have been talking with LaChute, and they are very good, but I wanted to know of any others?

There are plenty of places to get your conversion parts from; salvage yards and auction sites like ebay are good starts. Before you commit to anything please be aware of what you are getting into. I have heard many horror stories from people who bought parts that were either broken or incomplete.
When you buy parts always ask or verify the following:
How many miles are on the parts?
What kind of accident did the donor car have?
Do the parts need to be “re-worked” (re-built)?
Do I get a warranty?
Did you do a compression test?
Can I see what numbers you pulled? (Always nice to get stuff in writing )

These questions are always helpful. If the person cannot or will not answer these basic things then perhaps you may want to consider why he/she is selling the stuff so cheap

Keep yourself informed and remember CASH is king

Well, you apparently don't, so I'd surmise there are other people out there who also don't . AV Sport, VT Sportscar, and Rallispec can also source parts for you or do the conversion.

www.copartfinder.com is a good place to look for WRX wrecks but it requires a membership but might be well worth it. This is especially great if you need a lot of little parts and accessories to go along with your swap too.
