Have a Nice Day? How hard is it to remove Vinyl?

What's up guys,

Before i start puting some decals on my windsheild, i need to know... How easy is it to remove vinyl? I've heard that all i need is a razor blade and patience. Is this true?

Also, does the same go for vinyl on the body as well? I feel a little un-easy about taking a razor to my paint...

Thanks all,

Mike

NO!
STOP!
DO NOT USE A BLADE!!

use a hairdryer... heat until vinyl is warm.. then peel back slowly...
any residue left over can be waxed/windexed off...

trust me on this i change out my stickers on a regular basis!!!

I was gonna say use a butchers knife... J/k, I'm with Sube Gal, except I use goo-gone to get off the residue and clean off the goo -gone with car window cleaner.

How about vinyl on interior parts? Same method? I like to remove the cheap CF look back to original.

I am about to put a few decals on windshield and body.
Should I be worried about the paint under the decal being a different color than the rest of the body when I take them off eventually or is the paint good enough for that?

Thanks all,
Stefan
