Innovative Tuning is looking to hire for two positions:

A) fabricator with sheet metal working and fiberglass/composite skills for special project (estimated project duration 2-4 weeks full time or longer if part time)

B) mechanic/tech - I'm looking to add another motivated individual to the Innovative Tuning team in a mechanic/tech position. I'm considering part time and full time applications at this time.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:
-Significant mechanical experience pertaining to high performance work and general maintenance and repair. 3+ years.

-Excellent mechanical understanding. We aren't doing brake jobs and mounting tires all day. Custom high performance work involves careful thought and execution.

-Extreme attention to detail. Our customers have come to expect a lot more of us than they would other shops. That's a beautiful thing and I intend to keep it that way. Making sure all jobs are completed carefully and thoroughly is a must. If you cannot handle constructive criticism and/or direction on your work you need not apply. We definitely do a lot of things differently than the average shop so you must be willing to accept new methods.

-Solid interpersonal skills. If you aren't friendly, articulate, and intelligent, you won't fit in here.

-High performance automotive knowledge and interest. The more the better, but I don't expect you to know it all. We're passionate about what we do here and I will expect that same enthusiasm from a new employee. This is not a cookie cutter tech job. If automotive performance isn't something you're interested in, this isn't the job for you.

-Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

-Willingness to take on new tasks and learn more about automotive performance.

-Automotive tools. I have certain specialty tools for the shop like leakdown, wheel bearing etc. tools, but you must have your own ratchets, sockets, wrenches and other basic automotive tools.

-Fabrication/welding skills a plus.

Pay depends on experience, automotive knowledge, etc.

If interested, please e-mail a resumè to service@innovativetuning.com
After reviewing resumès we will contact some of you for an interview.

Please be warned:
This is a serious job and while we do have our fair share of fun here, it's as real as a job gets and I expect your best during work hours.

We specialize in Japanese cars, but do work on some European and domestic vehicles depending on the situation. Applicable experience on non Japanese cars is acceptable.

I've had some solid applicants over the years who simply didn't have enough experience to bring on during our busy season so I apologize to those applicants looking to get their foot in the door at a good shop. Our customers and I expect only the best and this time of year we cannot consider bringing someone up to speed who has little experience.

Just got laid off last week and figured I'd give this thread a shot. I'm 26 and in the USAF National Guard as a Crew Chief (Aircraft Mechanic). I have about 3 years experience as an automotive mechanic and have extensive knowledge with LSx powered vehicles and a growing knowledge of Subaru's. I went to school for automotive technology and have 2 classes to left to complete my certificate. I've been working night shift for the last 5 years and the classes are only at night so I was unable to complete them. (Looking to finish this spring!) I also have extensive mechanical training that I got from my USAF tech school. I am VERY motivated and a hard worker. I am very quick to learn and I absolutely love performance cars regardless of make. I would make a great addition to any performance shop looking for a tech with some experience.

I'm looking for full time preferably and live in the Princeton area. PM me for a resume.

Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm 22 and I've been looking for a job for a little bit now but no dice so I'll try my luck here.. I've completed tech school @ porter and chester institute for mechanics and I worked at a Jeep dealership for a little bit. I've got the usual certs like a/c & refrigerant, tool safety and other ac delco's i can't remember. I also have some experience in MIG welding, not so much TIG but I am definitely willing to learn as i'd like to eventually do some metal fabbing.

As far as tools i've got the basics, multiple ratchets of all sizes 1/4" to 3/4" including air tools/impact gun, hammers, wrenches, punches etc. I'd prefer to work in a performance shop setting but I'm open to anything really.

Also, a good friend of mine is looking for work too. Very experienced in mechanics but nothing professional like dealership work or certifications but honestly I'll vouch for his work ethic like multiple motor swaps & engine harnesses made from scratch, a wiring magician to say the least.

Both located in southern CT let us know!

Never thought of posting a job up on here so would be a little rough coming into play in the middle of peak but there are driving opportunities available at FedEx.
I’m a contractor, well technically now an ISP for FedEx so I actually own routes /trucks and have rights to certain areas which I need to service with drivers that I hire.
This time of year is what we call peak, being this close to Christmas, online orders go crazy and so does our day to day work goes insane. We are always looking for temp drivers with the opportunity to go full time depending on if myself or other ISP’s have a spot after peak time and if you perform better than others.
Requirements include needing to be at least 21yrs old, you need at least 1 years driving experience OF A LIKE SIZE VEHICLE (approx 10-15ft box truck) in the last 3yrs and you need to be able to pass a DOT physical which is easy(basically a normal physical but also includes a drug screen).
Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 6-630 am until the route is finished(changes depending on stops and how quick you are)
Terminal is located in Windsor, CT.

If you are interested or have any questions feel free to PM me and we can talk.

I figured I would post. I'm just not sure what I want to do.... lol. Ive been working on Subarus for the last 13 years. I worked for SOA for about 6 years and then made the move to Rallispec for about 7 years, 3 part time and 4 fulltime. In the Subaru world I enjoy building gearboxes before anything else, however I can do whatever comes my way. I want to work for someone who has a great team of employees. I will not work by myself anymore. I see myself as a great teacher for new Subaru techs that want to work in the field. Im very patient and will not be the one to go throwing tools around the shop (you boys know it happens). I have a great understanding of the automotive world, how parts work, and the theory behind them. As mentioned; I'm not sure what I want to do. I feel Im a fairly knowledgeable tech and have built some pretty awesome stuff over the years. Traveled the country on a competitive open class car rally team, went to x games 14 as a member of the team. I'm open to different offers, it doesnt even have to be automotive related.

Cheers

Looking for a SUBARU automotive sales consultant to join our mom and pop family dealership. Obtained our franchise in 1977 and have been selling ONLY Subarus since. (pre-owned as well). Prior auto sales experience is NOT required. Pay is base salary plus commission with the potential to make 6-figures. The potential is there. As you know Subaru is outperforming all other auto manufacturers and our establishment is growing as well. Our key competency is a hassle free, low pressure approach. We are not your stereotypical dealership. If interested please PM me. Dealership is located in northern NJ about 15 min from the NY/NJ border and about 30 min west of NYC. Figured I would give everyone here a shot before some stranger off the street!

Default Automotive Job in CT/NY

Not sure if anyone looking for a job or konw someone that needs a job. The company I work for is hiring Fairfield County area. The name of the company is AutoVin the position is for a field rep. Basically the job involves a lot of driving to various dealers and lessee homes to inspect their cars. Your work load come to you in the morning via a laptop(company supply) you head out where they send you. You have to have a car and know a little about cars even though they will hire the right person.

If you would ike more details contact me via pm or go to www.karauctionservices.com click on careers fill out the online applicaiton.

You get additional reimbursement different from your salary for the driving you do . You can always negotiate your pay but I believe they start off little over 30k.
