Arrow Looking for salvage yards with Impreza and Legacy parts in/around Southern NH

Now, with the WRX down at Igg's (thanks to KC for the haul down there!), I'm beginning to accumulate parts for the Legacy Turbo 5MT swap.

I'm looking for a bunch of parts, including differential components (ring/pinion from a 3.9 rear open diff), mounting stuff (crossmembers), and other components (pedal set, clutch master cylinder, plumbing).

Anyone know of any salvage yards in/around southern NH that'd have these sorts of pieces, that I could go in and browse around?

/Andrew

I monitor a lot of the yards in the immediate area for interesting stuff. I can tell you who currently doesn't have anything of use to you.. might save you a trip or two. It's always good to let AT&T tdo the walking for most of these places... they're not exactly high turnover yards.

Matt's Salvage - Merrimack, NH
Majestic Motors - Merrimack, NH
Jeff's Car World - Candia, NH
And one other near the Bedford/Goffstown line that I can never remember the name of. I've been in search of legacy turbo stuff for awhile... and have always come up dry at those places.

There's Jean Guy's in Pelham as well, but the boneyard selection is a bit sparse at times. They deal strictly in used parts though, so they may have some of the stuff you need on the shelf.

Talk to shipjumper here on the board. He knows all kinds of things about the legacy turbo drivetrain. He may even have the stuff you need, or at least know where you can get them. I don't know of any places in NH, but I was at F&S yesterday doing one of my monthly "inspections", and they do have atleast 4 wrecked legacy turbos. I am not sure about the tranny stuff, but they do have an awful lot of the little things like peddles, etc. I know everybody has called them, and said that their prices aren't that great, but I know the guy, and he gives me some real good deals. If you need my assistance, contact me off board.

Later,
Seth E.

Just FYI: I was at Jean Guy's about a month ago looking for parts, and they didn't have any newer model Impreza or Legacy parts. They had some parts from a '92 (I think), but that didn't fit my application.

Try calling though, as new (or used) stuff always arrives.

I did find a place in Concord that said they had some items, but never made it up there to verify (and I lost the name of the yard).

So, it looks like I'm not much help. I'll keep my eyes and ears open as I search around myself.

The other good thing to know is that most of these yards are networked via some type of software... so Charlie at Majestic Motors may be able to tell you what Jeff at Jeff's Car world has in stock on their system...

It might be worthwhile to look at car-parts.com too.
