Default Part throttle hesitation with Ecutek?

Calling all Ecutek users. Do you guys experience occasional part throttle hesitation. Usually happens when you roll into the throttle at lower RPMs. It feels like the hesitation the stock car exhibits but seems to be more pronounced. Anyone else experience this? If so, what stage are you running and who is your ECU tuned by?

Thanks

We tune with Ecutek, and have not had that problem. I can ask my tech, but finding out why, you would have to do some (street datalogging at those RPM's to prolly find out what the car is doing).

Thanks, I have done a good amount of data logging and haven't gotten anything conclusive. The only thing I can think of is that the car is running too much boost in closed loop. IMO it should determine open/closed loop conditions based on boost instead of TPS as is currently. That should solve the issue. Either that or the switch to open loop is too sudden and needs to be smoothed out. I think this hesitation seems to mostly happen on cars that are completely stock other than the reflash. Does anyone with a turbo-back experience the same thing?

Thanks

[email protected] just reflashed me with an ECUTEK and dynotune last week. Let me say that I'm on vacation driving up the 101N Cali into Oregon and my wagon feels like a totally different car since he molested my ECU, Two personality's with the two maps. Smooth, fast, good MPG, worth every penny !!!
Quick story, I'm in the Redwoods driving and do the stupid slow down and take a pic out the window... I stayed in third? smooth, no jerky, jerky just pushed the gas back down and go. Feels like a ten speed gearbox now, 5mt/5auto, no kidinng. Shiv is cool.

Thanks, I've already contacted Shiv. He's been trying to resolve the issue but hasn't yet. I have another session set up for monday, so we'll see what comes of it. I'm posting this to gather information because I know other people have experienced the same issues and I'd like to narrow it down. This is no way a bash on Shiv as he has been very cooperative and helpful in addressing my issues (just no success as of yet).

Thanks

Have you considered the "grounding mod?"

I did the grounding mod when I was stock and didn't notice much of an improvement if any.

Thanks

Shiv did manage to smooth out the hesitation although it does come back once in a while when external conditions change fairly drasticly (weather, altitude). The car drives better now, but its still not what I'd call smooth. Maybe I'm just too picky? Maybe its the ****ty gas here? I don't know, but power isn't smooth consistantly. I'm currently looking into other engine management options.

Thanks
