Angry Hesitation at 4K (another case)

Wow... I am surprised to find so many reports of the 4K hesitation problems. I have a MY2000 2.5RS with 52,000 miles and I just started noticing the hesitation problem around 4K. As with everyone else, it isn't too bad and only happens sometimes and to make it worse, I just got the car back from having it serviced (the 52k mile service).

I just spent a ridiculous amount of money getting some bad problems fixed (one of my wheel bearings was so screwed up that my front left wheel could move an inch in and out) and I would like to be able to fix this myself without spending too much.

I checked the wire plugs for any corrosion and can't seem to find any. Based on the other threads, I plan to do the following:

1. Check/replace air-filter (I am replacing it this week anyway)
2. Check/replace coil pack for corrosion
3. Check/replace fuel filter
4. Reset ECU

Does anyone have any other suggestions to add to this list?

Thanks...

you could try the Single Point Grounding Mod. i did that on my MY99 2.5RS and it seemed to help.

The hesitation is coming back but i think it has more to do with my exhaust leak and my MAF is starting to go.

Has your car had the ecu reflashed under recall?

Mine has. That's what fixed my hesitation.
