Default Airbag switches

Was looking at all the TSB for my car and came up with a service bulletin about installing Airbag switches on my car.

Anyways I remember people posting about getting their airbag disabled.

I don't think you're allow to install such switch unless you have a reason and ICBC will need to know about it.

Is going out to rally a good enough general reason?

Don't you just need to sign a waiver for ICBC to disable your airbags? I'd like to get mine disabled too. The thought of an exploding air bag in front of me doesn't bode well.

LaterZ!

Yes you do need a waiver to have a switch install. Unless you're like really short or a 10 year old going for a joy ride, the air bag shouldn't blow your head off (it been known to happen to short people).

As for the racing bit, you should ask ICBC about it because it does sound like a legit reason.

Thumbs up

Witnessed first hand, one word comes to mind "Fugly" Upon vehicle inspection, in my case, they did not say anything about my airbag light and the fact that they are disabled.

Oh well, but again racing seems a legit reason but watch ICBC turn around and start harping on you simply because you uttered the word "racing"

I too disabled mine because of the explosive powder in my face issue.
