Default 'wanna-be gangsters'

i went to the theatre the other night at the century theatre. this is essentially, 15yr old thug and fast/furious hang out. man its ridiculous, ill bring a camera and take pictures because its unbelievable. more fubu than russel simmons closet. but what REALLY got me, was not the line for 'dance-dance revolution' was that iheard atleast 4 kids yell out "G..G..G-UNIT!!!!" throughout the night. come on now........stupid. and there were only like 3 black kids too, so the rest were.........

Lightbulb Muhahahah :)

Man it'd be funny how fast these kids would re-transform into their normal suburban WASP selves if they were confronted by the real people they are emulating.

Who would've thought that "Malibu's Most Wanted" would be so socially relevant?

d00d give them a ride to East Oakland and drop them off in Bubb Rubb's 'hood and see how long these jokers last.

I hate when i see kids/yound adults trying to take on a image which they see in a video. Not even knowing the history behind the culture or understanding the reason why people are the way they are. They just rebelling against there parents b/c they know they dont want there kids trying to be "gangsta".

frederick

ps - it would be more phat farm then in russell simmons closet. No body wears fubu anymore

Question FUBU = For Us By Us, right?

And the "Us" is referring to black people.

Does anyone else find it supremely funnay when you see white kids (or really any non-black kids) wearing "FUBU"?

And good catch Frederick, Phat Farm = Russel's stuff, FUBU = unknowns LOL!

Go up to them and congratulate them on being able to start a sentence without "Hey! Hey! Hey!" first.

We've got a ton of those kids on campus...and the guy next door says "Yo G!" ALL THE TIME...omg, just go up and say "Yo!" or something else...the "G" part just pisses me off.

I remember there was this white kid that hung out with the black kids in my high school. All of them (including the black kids) were gangsta-thug wannabe's. There was maybe 1 or 2 in the whole school who were actual gangsters. Anyhow, this white kid acted like them, talked like them, tried to be exactly like them. One day, out of the blue, they decided it would be fun for the group of them to pick their white "friend" up off the ground and beat the holy hell out of him. Maybe he dropped the "N" bomb or something thinking they wouldn't mind, I dunno. They were punching and kicking him, and then they just dropped him on the concrete, which broke his leg. He was laying there screaming in agony and all of his "friends" bolted on him and ran to class. I walked up to him and said "Some friends you got there." and then went and got him some help. He continued to hang out with them and try to be like them even after that incident. That was the early 90's too. I can't even begin to imagine how confused some kids are out there these days.

Pardon me for not being hip to the current lingo on the streets.... but what the bloody hell does "G..G..G-UNIT!!!" mean?

Surely to god I'm not the only one that doesn't recognize this reference. Please... inform me.

I've noticed that the wanna be gangsta white kids always are with the hottest girls.

I also figured, If I drove a Civic with altezzas and a can and lowered it I could get hot girls, but I'd have to wear a visor and pajama looking clothes...

WHY IS THIS ATTRACTIVE GIRLS?! PLEASE EXPLAIN!

I hate those kids.

That only works with teenage girls. Once you get older all the hot girls like guys with money. All these hot girls from my highschool that used to not even know I'm alive act like I'm all great now that I make good money. One of them actually came over to my apartment last summer thinking I was gonna :monkey: her. I got a girlfriend though so I let that opp pass me by.

I noticed this too. The girls may be hot, but any girl that thinks the wanna be gansta look is cool isn't really worth my time.

But I'm a teenage guy...

Also, I wouldn't want to be with the girls too long. Maybe 1 or 2 hours occasionally but it wouldn't be to talk to them.

When I was a teenager I was in bands, skateboarded, and was into Raves and drugs. I got plenty of ass. Like a different chick every couple weeks. Where there's drugs and alcohol there's ass. If you hang out in wholesome church-going circles you're not gonna get laid. Gotta do drugs and hang out with the bad kids to get laid. Just don't get too far into it, gotta keep your grades up too and not get arrested for anything serious.

EDIT: oh yeah jocks get lots of ass too. I had trouble in 10th grade getting laid, so I joined the football team and immediately got more ass.

Damn, my college doesn't have sports, I'm not musical, and I'm not to fond of ravers. My chances for getting play are really limited. I think I'll go the drug route.
