Default Dunlop lm701

I recently got a set of Zigen mk5 with Dunlop lm701. So far, I'm very happy with them...excellent grip wet/dry. I tried searching for info and reviews on these tires but came back with nothing except for a few jap homepages.

Any info on these would be appreciated especially on tread life

I believe what you have is a private label version of the FM901

there are places like NTB, Costco, Sam's club and some Auto Parts stores which have tires from major manufacturer's private labeled with a name specifically for them so they can claim they have a unique product. It also eliminates the customer from finding the exact same tire elsewhere for a cheaper price. It is basically the exact same tire (sometimes with some subtle differences) as a mass marketted tire. In this case I think (not 100% sure) that your LM701 is the Sport FM 901 brabded with a different name under a private label program

Hmmm, I just printed a pic of the FM901 tread pattern to compare and realized that it's TOTALLY different. Now I don't think it's the private label thingy anymore...maybe a JAP-ONLY tire that somehow made its way to NA...meaning not DOT approved? (also probably why I can find any English info on them)
I'm going to post some pics tomorrow.
