Default autox in rain: HTR+ or V700

ok, i have new all-season sumitomor htr + and new kumho victoracer V700's mounted on 16" OEM wrx wheels.

if its raining out, which would be better to run on? i am guessing the new V700's, but i'm not sure, also at what point would the htr+ be better than the V700's if any???? (i am assuming that with 6-7 autox's on the V700's the htr+ would be better for the rain, but just wanted to get some opinions....)

thanks...

if it's real heavy rain and some standing water the HTR+ would be the choice to make but if the VictoRacers are new and it's not a heavy downpour the Kumho's will do the job

Are your V700's full tread depth or shaved? Just curious. Full tread depth would probablly give you some impressive results in the rain.

well, currently they are full-tread depth, but my guess is the first autox won't be in the rain.

i just figured that at some point, the v700's would wear down to a point that they would do worse in the rain than the (basically new) htr+, just not sure at what point....

Did you at least get your V700's heat cycled?

if it's simply a wet surface the V700's will be better, even when well worn.

However, if you have a surface that is not draining well and is puddling, then your V700's will sail across those sections. You'll notice this when you turn the wheel and the car goes straight.
hen you do.

If you have to drive through puddles or streams of water go with the street tires.
