anyone know if we can get this screen for WRX?

it's the optional pop up GPS screen for the STI in japan. I was thinking about getting just the screen for the HKS camp system and or dvd/playstation. Can we just order these though subaru parts in japan or something?

I'll assume this is a Clarion piece, since they have been in the past.

You could buy this from a Subaru parts department in Japan. You could also possibly get it from Australia or England, since they import the Japan market WRX's with these systems intact.

You would have to do some real research of the pin layout to make an RGB input cable for the CAMPS system. You may also be able to watch TV with this unit, with built in tuner, although channel selection will be limited. For DVD or Playstaion you would need an RCA input. You would need a high end shop with great knowledge of splicing together TV's with other manufacturers GPS systems. I know of one, but they are in LA. Of course you could send it to them to make the harness, and get the install done elsewhere. The harness' are the hard part.

My guess on price would be $2.5k just for the gear. The brains are in the 2 1 din radio pieces you need to get as well (one for map disc and controls, other for MD player and brains.) I would assume there are no other black boxes for this.

Now that is some cool shiet!! I wouldn't mind the MD/CD head unit next to it either!! If anyone goes to Japan, they better get those things! Mabey we could get a price?? (God perhaps??)
