Default need to find a BD/BG OB/GT grille....

like it says.
trying to find one for a project; I'm going to cut out the center, so emblems or damage there don't matter....

Anybody have something lying around, preferably cheap?

It's for a 97 OB, which emans it's the big grill from OB's or GT's

if anyone finds one in a yard for a reasonable price, lemme know, too

Thanks.....

I've got one, but I'm looking for $50 plus shipping. It sounds like it's out of your range, but I thought I'd offer anyway. Good luck!

thats funny, i just bought a grill 2 days ago from a junkyard for what seems to be the same project. i plan on cutting out the center and meshing it up. looks like its gonna be a little harder than that tho, cuz the clips that hold the grill in place are connected by that center piece. good luck.

I'm planning on leaving a bit more of the surround, and letting the taper continue on the sides to hide those mounting tabs; basically I'm just going to cut out the center bars then try to glass over the holes.....

jacobhorn, I'll keep ya in mind if I can't find anything else, but it's more than I was hopin' for....thanks though

Ernest, it does look kinda bare in the pic (hard to see the grill). But it looks alot better in person, considering it cost me 30 bucks. I was so close to getting a Zerosport grill, but I just couldn't justify myself spending 300+ plus shipping/tax/duty and paint. Who needs JDM when you're power by homedepot

BTW, those mounting tabs are going to be removed, just too lazy

Youre talking about the loops visible on the far right and left in the grille opening? What are those tabs there for? Original to the grill?

V, check out CC-B for the Orciari grille they have for both the BD/BG. They have grilles available for the BE/BH as well. $129 isn't too bad, and local pickup for the Chicagoans.

I know the DIY'ers prefer otherwise, but the price beats some of the more expensive, harder-to-find alternatives.

Yup, the original grill has clips on the black part of the grill (which I removed) Since there's no use for them anymore, I gotta find a way to break/cut them off. Right now, it's held by the orignal 4 clips on the top...very sterdy.

When I'm going to do that, I'm going to try something new. Since the grill is somewhat see through, I'm going to get me a pink 6 star badge and try to mount it on that center bar behind the grill. One day, when I "feel" rich.

I haven't seen one on a BD yet. The Orciari site doesn't even have one mounted. I'm sure it's the shiz, and I'd have one on my car if I had any money right now. Who wants to be first? I think CC-B has them in stock right now, too.

Sorry to jack your thread, sybir. Especially considering I love the look of you wagon. RS wheels on Outbacks rule! If I had enough money for a replacement grill, you'd be the first one to receive my OE... although it's the small square version, not the large cross version.

V, if you need anything else on the Orciari grill, let me know via PM. I can even pick it up from one of the Thursday meets for ya.

haha, no worries, it was a worthwhile hijack, just putting in a reminder

my partner in crime, 5 spokes rule

hell, a SUS grill would be better, as there's less big holes to fill.....

I wanna see one of the Orciari grills on a car, I'm curious, as they look a little too overmoulded for my taste, but that's cool....

RS wheels are getting rare, too. I noticed a site selling 'new' sets for >$1000. Sheesh...

I guess we'll be seeing the Orciari installed soon enough since VOLTIS5 ordered one up. It should look good on his white GT. The grilles are fiber so they might be able to be sanded down a bit. The mesh needs to be black though IMO.

Default My homemade grill

I made this one after a thief busted mine trying to open the hood.

The grill on eBay is for a non-GT Legacy. The L and LSs have smaller grills than the GT and Outbacks.
