Default Cat Back and misfire or backfire

I have a quick question....does anyone know if catback with the resenator removed will cause a misfire. It happens occasionally and my friend said it sounded like a misfire, but it sounded like a backfire to me cuz it comes for the exhaust. Can anyone give me a clear answer? Thanks in advance.

A catback shouldn't cause any misfires or backfires if your cats are still there. When do you hear it? Which catback? What other mods?

Every now and again I hear a little pop from the back of my car, I don't have any other mods. I would think ridding the car of the resenator would have some effect with the back fire, but I wouldn't know.

Yeah, that's just a little burble coming out. Harmless. Mine did that too after my catback install.
