Prices on used sti parts?

Given that the sti is only going to retail for $6500 more than the wrx, what do you think the prices will be like for take off parts or parts from wrecked cars? The price for a brand new USDM sti 6-speed is about $5000, while a new 5 speed is over $3K, and a good used 5-spd is about $1500. Do you think demand will strongly push up prices? Wrx stuff goes for super cheap used.

I'm taking about parts from wrecks such as:

6-speed, plus the rear diff, hubs, brakes, etc.
Front brakes
Complete motor
Long block
Gauges
Interior bits
etc.

And take off parts such as:

Turbo
Intercooler
Seats (I know they suck)
Suspension bits
Wheels
exhaust

I'm sure plenty of you will be making mods to your STI's by the end of the year, and plenty will be crashed too.

What do you think?

ya im wondering the same thing too! instead of say a vishnu stage 2, what about an engine out of a wrecked car, etc..? same goes with tranny, it would be awesome to swipe my 4EAT for an STi 6 spd. *drool*

This car is going to be worth a lot more in parts than it is in one piece.
Any that make it to the junkyard are going to fetch a premium. Check out 300zx parts, or porche parts. Junk yard guys know when they can charge extra for something and they do it.
