So I got my UK 17's in the other day, and customs gave them a good going over. The poked holes in the carboard covering the wheels (tires were mounted as well) to make sure I wasn't smuggling anything I guess. Whatever they used scratched up one of them really well.
![]() What's the best way to repair scratched wheels? Can a detailing place take care of it (it's about time for that anyways)? And anybody have an idea where to get touch-up paint for the UK 17's? Thanks for any help! Cheers, Grant

That blows! Did you pick them up at customs or did they get delivered to you directly. You may be able to go after whomever they were shipped through if the damage is really that bad. If they were insured, you may be able to get them to cover the damange... not sure I'd hold my breath on that though... I usually don't have the greatest of luck with that kinda thing.
I don't know of any touchup paint off hand that would work. I do know that there are shops around that can professionally refinish the rim for you though. You might want to check out rimpro if you go that route. There may be a company closer to you that can do this kind of work too. I can personally vouch for the great job they do though. I have had a rim straightened by them, and they did an incredible job of fixing up my friend's OZ Superturissmo. BTW... what rims are they? Are they the five double-spoked gold ones? |

Well, FedEx, the international shipper, and the customs house are all pointing fingers at each other, so it looks like I'll take this one in the butt.
![]() These are the ones I got (on the left, obviously ). I should have pics of my car up soon.Cheers, Grant |
