What's even more amazing is that it did not use any CG!

Took more than 600 retakes!!

That must have been pretty sweet to see it happen live!

EDIT: I just had another look... I don't believe it is all live. How did they get the tires to roll up the ramp?

There's only one part of that commercial that was CG, it was the muffler rolling across the floor.


Oh, how did they roll the tires up the ramp? MOMENTUM!

Take another look and watch when the last tire bounces back... why does it slow down going DOWN the ramp then creep back up.

Something is not quite right.

I read about the making of the commercial on some marketing web site... (I think, cant' find the link now).

I said none of it is done with CG, but I didn't say it's not special effect

The tire/wheel rolling up slope scene was done by putting weight in one point inside the tire to make it rolling once the balance was disturbed...

Very cool!

That would explain the type of motion I saw. Good enough explanation for me.

How ever they did it ... it is still an awesome sequence.
