Default GF body and tire width

Can I get away w/ putting 225/50-16's on a old body style wagon (Outback Sport)? It's still on the stock suspension but I'll probably be swapping it out for the stock RS suspension soon. is 225 too wide for the 6.5" wide OEM WRX wheels?

225 is to wide for the older body style ... but, it will fit on the WRX OE wheels

thanks luke... guess the best option will be to run 205/55-16's on the wagon then. Anything in the 215 width is pricey and hard to find.

Tho... the stock size tires are 185/70-14 which would make a 205/50-16 better (once again hard to find cheap tires in that size) and a 215/50-16 is relatively close too.
