Default SCIC, how about a day at go-kart racing school?

I've already done this ... but for all you racing wannabe's ... that is most of us ... I would HIGHLY recommend the Jim Hall Jr. Go-Kart Racing school between Oxnard and Ventura.

You can get a (SCIC) group thing going with them ...

The Introduction Course is a blast ... and more then enough for first timers! And a bargain for what you get ...

The Jim Hall school is top notch!

I would love to go back...but I don't think I would fit in the Kart at present. Once I get back down to my fighting weight, I'd be up for a day in the shifter karts.

Hey Mako...see what you can get together as a group rate. I'm interested.

As I mentioned ... I've already been there, done that ... I was just suggesting it since it's a lot of fun, something that can be done as a group and it's especially educational if one has never had some formal lessons in fast driving.

For those that still have racing in their blood ... it's an excellent introduction to a relatively inexpensive way to go racing .... keeping it off the street.

I'm new to SCIC ... don't know how organized you guys are ... but yes I believe they do a group rate thing ... someone just needs to call up, get the rate ... and do a survey when is a good date ... JUST DO IT!

We need to get people to sign up for this. I've been hoping to get with a bunch of people that I know to group together and do something like this. I think this is the perfect opportunity.

If some one sets it up, I am in. That would be a great meet.

I met a guy from the KRC Kart School who hosts their lessons at Willow Springs. I can also inquire with him. I am in favor of the closer to the ocean location of Ventura though.

Exclamation Air Combat school

Anyone notice that you can take an AIR COMBAT COURSE on that website... and NO PILOTS LICENSE IS REQUIRED. Got a few thousand lying around and feel like pulling out some TOP GUN style "racing" hehe. Damn now if only I didn't spend all my money on the WRX.

I've actually looked into AIR COMBAT here at Fullerton Airport. It's not cheap. I'd rather sign up for a aerobatics course for less $$. And no, you don't really need a pilots license either....just have a flight instructor take you up if you want.
