Post gas smell?

I have been searching around the posts to find an answer to my question, but failed to find something exactly similar. So I apologize if this has been answered before.

Occasionally after driving... I will stop the car to park or just stopped... and then I smell a very faint gas smell. I dont see any gas leaking.. and it drives fine. It also doesnt happen all the time.

It defintely smells more like gas than exhaust..

So should I be worried? Is there anything I should be looking for? I am not a "car expert", so you might have to explain this a bit more to me. I will do my best though and am willing to learn new things.

Thanks,
Tanya

wassup... yeah i get the same kind of problem with my 01RS... I don't really think it is a problem.. more like new parts of your car "breaking in". Like rubber hoses, brakes, exhaust system among other things feelin the heat and getting the wear and tear of driving. I don't think you should be really worried unless you start seeing smoke or the fumes become unbearable. I'm not a mechanic or specialist or anything like that, so if you are really worried you can talk to you dealership service people. Good luck and nice car!

I have had the same problem, and its not my headers or exhaust, i cheched all of the seals with my hand there were no exhaust leaks. Its very occasional, so Im not worried.
