Default 17x7 Mille Miglia HT3?

Does anyone out there know about the weight/quality of this wheel?

Also welcoming suggestions about comparably priced alternatives.

weight 22.3lbs.

high quality powercoat. very nice looking on the wrx.

i use to have the hypersilver but sold it to get the SSR comps...
probably going to re-buy them again in carbon gray later on this
year from tirerack.

52mm offset. for this wheel, try some sumitomo HTR+ tires in
225/45/17.

My specs show a 20.5 lb. weight and Mille Miglia produces a verry high quality TUV approved product

Do you know if HT3s in Carbon Grey will be available any time soon?

I was wondering about this too.

All the pics of wheels on cars on the Tirerack website show "Carbon Grey" wheels. They look great and I considered buying them.

But the product listing on Tirerack only shows "Bright Silver Paint" and "Light Grey Painted".

I checked MM's website and they list only "Bright Silver" and "Carbon Grey". http://www.millemigliawheels.com/it/type_ht3.html

So I'm guessing that the "Light Grey Painted" wheels are the same as the "Carbon Grey" shown in the photos?

i think when they said carbon gray, people thought it was a
really dark gray so they must've changed it to 'light gray painted.'

man, those hypersilvers on my silver wrx was beautiful
especially at dawn, sunset.

Yeah, thanks. Now all I have to do is make a decision. And that's the worst part.

I have Kenchan's old HT3 on my Silver Wagon and I agree that they are a very high quality wheel. I am very happy with them.

Thumbs up

Ive had these wheels in the dark grey for about a year now. Very happy with how they have held up. Wrap them in the Sumitomo HTRZ II's and you are good to go

alfaguy, kenchan

Were either of your cars lowered while running the HT3? I ask because of concerns about rubbing.

My car is not lowered. With 225/45-17 HTR+ tires, it rubs just a smidge at the right rear. With 215s, I suspect I wouldn't have any problems.

More questions...

Will these rims clear a big brake kit?

yeh, my sedan was lowered about -2.5inches at the time. no rubbing (225/45/17 sumi HTR+).

if you drop your car like -3inches, the front will rub on any
wheel if you lock the steering all the way left or right.

If anyone is interested, I have a st of 18" HT3 Carbons with Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tires in 225 40 18 that I need to get rid of. Why you ask? I am getting my Sti in like two weeks and probably will be trading my wagon. So I am turning it back to stock. The tires/rims have about 10,000 miles on them. They are in excelent shape, and I think this is one of the best looking wheels on the WRX. Thats why I bought them.

E-mail me for pics or if you have any questions.
Thanks
Mike

Default weight

I'm interested in the HT3 Carbons as well, but would like to confirm their weight.

What were kenchan's and Luke's sources for the weight?

kenchan, did you weigh the rim when you received it?

TIA,

Jim

its ironic because i bought those exact wheels from luke and at the time (feb 02) luke said over the phone they were 22.3lbs.

so i suspect they are 22.3lbs. most milles that i know are about 22 -23lbs for 17x7.
