Most up pipes and down pipes come with the resistor mods. Mine did and I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't.

There isn't an emissions test (sniffer) here in NY. Only a visual check. But I have friends that inspect. So mind your own buisness. This thread isn't about will your car pass emissions, it's about CEL fixes.

.............excuse me?

Ok for those that want to be educated....... Most states dont use the sniffer test on newer cars(Im sure New York has a sniffer test). They hook the car up to a OBD. This reads the cars ECU for codes. Certain codes will cause you to fail this test.....such as ........Removing CATS. Now some of you brillant kids are thinking "Well hey I'll just reset my ECU right before I go to the emissions testing center". Well this wont work. The OBD checks for readiness codes that are stored within the ECU. When you reset the ECU these codes are wiped out, and wont return until the car is drivin several miles(forget the exzact mileage needed). If the OBD doesnt see these readiness codes "You will fail". Now Kids this is why we have CEL fixes. The CEL fix will trick the ECU.................................So New York not having a sniffer has nothing to do with CEL fixes.

Your right your car isnt my business but you passing on false information and giving moronic advice to newbies .....is. Did you enjoy your flaming?

Can you elaborate on what it is that you are selling? Is it just a resistor that needs to be soldered in or is it a plug in assembly?
Thanks

You post has nothing to do with anythng Ive said. All I stated previously is most people that have bought catless stuff already have CEL fixes. There was no discussion here about why we have them. And FYI, Upstate NY doesn't check you obdII either. They do a visual inspection only. NYC has there own rules.

Man I hate explaining things to you modern do E-Thugs. Nothing better to do but argue with people when all you do is assume your reading something your not.

Now to answer someone who actaully should have posted here, hint, hint (DROP IT ALREADY!!!)

The cell fix for the front will require nothing more then installing the resistor mod by plugging it into the harness. The rear O2 sensor will not need to be soldered it will need to be crimped on which is all included and ready for you to crimp, just snip the wires, strip them and crimp'em

I hope this helps,
Nick

If you install the CEL fix after the sensor wiring for your A/F gauge you should be just fine so you would basically have this.

Ignore the periods I had to put them in to space it right.

...................____A/F wire ________to A/F gauge
Sensor -----<____Cel fix wire______to ECU
...................____A/F wire________to A/F gauge
Sensor -----<____Cel fix wire______to ECU

Sensor____untouched_____to ECU
Sensor____untouched_____to ECU

The light blue is the white wire

I hope this helps
Nick

the guage only taps off one wire on the ecu... i forgot what color i did it a long time ago.. but if i'm right it will go like this...

rear 02 sensor--->tap for a/f guage-->CEL fix (resistor i guess?) --> into ecu

is that right?
oh wait i think i got why you showed 2... one for the front and one for rear? heh. can you buy the rear only??

I need the fix for the rear sensor. How much for just that one? One more question with this fix do I have to have the o2 sensor in the down pipe. Reason I ask is I am building my own downpipe and need to know if I need to weld in the stock bung.

I would have to say yes you need it since it only modifies the signal from the sensor not replace it. However, I have never tried myself so I can't say for sure , but to be on the safe side I would put it in.

The O2 fix is $20 shipped

Let me know,
Nick
