Default 76 Race Fuel coming to Redwood City

FYI, the 76 station on Woodside Rd accross from the Jack in the Box (or is it Burger King) has race fuel for sale now, except you have to have a guy pump it out of the 50 gal drum. But in about 6 weeks they plan to sell 100 octane at pumps 4 & 5.

If you post the price, people may lose a bit of their excitement.

I believe the 100 octane is . . . are you ready . . . $4.50/gal. They have two highier grades as well, but I don't remember exactly what they are or how much more $$$.

Ouch!

I've been trying to get one of the Santa Cruz 76 stations to carry it, but so far no luck. The Chevron at Ocean and Soquel has 110 Octane methanol though.
The guy said something about not selling it to the public, but he talked so much I can't remember anything clearly. Babble babble babble babble.

What we could really use is a Costco 76 with 100 octane.

I guess I will be going to Redwood City to visit my parents more often than I anticipated.

I know exactly where that 76 station is. They used to take all of my recycled oil. Thanks for the info, Willy!!!!

A little bit off topic, but... I read a while ago that some stations in the Bay Area are getting 92 Octane again. Does anyone know if there's any station in North San Jose/Santa Clara/South Milpitas area that carries 92 as premium? Thanks.

There is a place local here to me in the East Bay ( not sure how far for you guys) in Pleasanton,CA right next to Vishnu Performance called Modacar they have 100 octane race fuel at $4.79 per gallon in 5 gallon drums which is= $23.95 for a 5G drum. Just thought I would throw that out there!

http://www.modacar.com Check the site for directions and phone numebrs if interested.

A buddy of mine told me there's a 76 (I think) somewhere on Almaden in San Jose that has 100 octane as well. Not sure of the price though. Anyone else know where it is?

I get 104 Octane from Bob Reed's Olympic. It sells for about $6.00 Gal. He's located in San Mateo on Palm St. Take HWY 92 to El Camino Real exit and go north. He's behind Safeway. It's pumped out of a 55 Gal drum but he has a tank to transfer it into your car if you need. The higher octane requires less fuel to increase the octane in your tank so it works out the same.

Cool news about it being available at the pump, I live about 2 blocks from there. The station just recently became a 76.

Expect prices to be higher at the pump compared to buying it by the drum as well. I will try to keep it up to date when new stations open up!

I gassed up at this Woodside 76 yesterday, and went inside to ask the guy when the pump 100 octane will be there. He said it will be there by this Wednesday, May 14th. It will be on pumps 5 & 6, and the price will be somewhere aroun $4.00 a gallon.

Can't wait. I will definately have to make a run through Redwood City on my way to the dragstrip.

Sweet! I'm starting work over in that area next week! It'll be way more convenient than driving all the way out the Almaden expwy...

Default $4.20

For those not familiar with the major restaurant chains on Woodside, the x-street is Kentfield.

I just poured some more $$ into my car in the form of 7gal of the 100test.

They're asking $4.20

It's on pump x (bird's eye view).
