Anti-Lift Kit, keeps the front end from lifting under hard acceleration. Front end stays planted = better cornering.

Post WHAT IS AN ALK????

I was just reading in the general forum about some alk thing. I think it has something to do with the front control arm and the bushing or something. Also, has anyone had the group n bushing kit installed? is it totally impossibly noisy/stiff if your car is also a daily driver?

RS2001 is correct-the Anti Lift Kit adds Caster to your control arms by 1.5 degrees and has Urethane bushings instead of rubber...resulting in faster turn-in and decreased understeer...making more Progressive ie: fun steering response....

edit...Watch the Caps in the heading...the moderators don't take to kindly to them...It means your yelling....no harm just so you know

I am not sure that is correct.

The ALK does not change lift under acceleration. I prevents the front tire from loosing traction as the body of the car rolls to the outside of the corner. Everycar has weight transfer to the outside during cornering. The ALK helps keep the inside tire on the ground, thus providing more traction to pull into and out of the corner.

I got the impression from the first reply that they think it acts as a "wheelie bar" kind of thing. Anti-Lift could be deceiving.

I may be all wrong though.

I guess you are useful for something Danny. I think I might have try that. Looks easy enough... (said the same thing about the rear swaybar though).
