Default JDM interior door handles and my custom grill

Just thought I'd post a few pics of my latest bling bling mods...

Finally got around to installing my JDM interior door handles. For the life of me, I don't know why we didn't get these in the USDM cars:

Also did a little customization to my grill. I didn't really want to chop up the grill, so I just added a little mesh and a B4 badge:

See the intercooler peekin' through the scoop?

Very nice Chris! I love that B4 badge and the custom interior! Hey are those tweeters by the side mirrors? I need some of those...Did they come off a limited? You should've flossed the rear badge too!

Those are the stock tweeters (mine's not a limited)... you don't have them?

I did replace the 2.5GT badge. Doesn't the Legacy badge have holes underneath? I haven't found anything I like to replace it with. And I don't want to take the AWD off because of tow truck drivers.

I don't have em...I feel so deprived

Man, I love those B4 badges. If you see them missing one day and see em on my ride, I didn't do it! j/k

Ya, there's 2 holes behind the Legacy badge. Have you seen the CF STI one on the back of mine? They have it in silver too at AutoCity. I think it'll look great on your car and it's perfect size too!

"And I don't want to take the AWD off because of tow truck drivers."
I never thought about that when I removed mine...

how far apart are the holes under the Legacy emblem? Could you cover it with the 2.5 GT emblem?

I wouldn't want to replace the Legacy with the 2.5GT... the reason I took the 2.5GT off is because it's not a 2.5 anymore

well why dont you try to see if the B4 badge would fit over the Legacy one.

The worry about the awd badge you can go to some dealers and order the sticker on the rear window on the imprezas i know somone you can get them from for like 5 bucks or something but its worth it i say.

I kind of like the B4 badge but i dunno id have to see it in person to really tell.

i love the interior color scheme though, looks real hot

Do you mean the extended door handles? That was the first mod I did on my GT, there is an old thread somewhere in this forum with the PNs. Excellent upgrade. I bought the tweeter kit for my car too, it didnt come equipped with them. They are not Thiel's but the location is so excellent it does improve ths ound quite a bit.

I really like the custom paint work on the trim pieces. Looks really good.

Cajual, your car looks very nice. There's something about silver.

It's a shame those extended door handles don't work as nicely for the 99s.

No I don't think it's wide enough. I had the JDM STI emblem before the CF and it was about the same size as the B4. It could only cover one hole

they have the power lock console integrated with the window controls, right where the handles come in, IIRC
The 95-97's have the lock sonsole as a separate piece, below the window control panel.....

Yes, I did a quick search for the old thread to confirm that the 98 and 99 (I forgot to include 98 in my first post) have an surround for the power lock switch that is integrated with the island for the power window switches. When/if I have some money to burn in the future, I'll look into doing this for mine.

My dial-up doesn't like when I do searches, so you can key on legacy door grips or grab handles. It was one of those two. Also on ScoobyMods.com.

CAJUAL - What did you use to hold your mesh on? Adhesive? What type?

Those handles are nice! I didn't know that they were available. I was actually thinking how nice it would be to have extended handles on the door. I am going to order them today!
I called my local Suabru dealership and they said that it would be $69.95 for one set (J2010AS020). At SubaruParts.com they are $57.75 + $5.95 S&H.

Thanks.
