Default KYB AGX adjustable struts for WRX?

Will the KYB AGX adjustable struts work on a WRX? I have heard they will and I have heard they won't so maybe some that has them on can say the do and if they are good on a WRX. No I thinks please.

They work if you have rear camber bolts installed at the same time.

I guess you could use those if they give you at least 1.5 degrees of adjustment or more.

Get konis. You simply cut around the top of the OEM strut and take out the original guts, replacing them with the koni insert. I just put in the koni inserts in an extra set of OEM struts- They get the best reviews.
Unfortunately, they are $150 each.

I find $150 per a steal. look at Koni's track record, very high quality.

KYB's = Replace orginal strut housing.

Koni's = Modify original strut housing.

Any effect on your warranty would be the same with either choice.

Nevermind I though you ment the tower on the car itself. Not just the original strut

The other thing to keep in mind is that the GC-8 AGX's have the spring perch about a 1/2" lower on the strut body. Resulting in a 1/2" drop in rear of the car.

"That is ok I will be able to adjust that on my coilovers."

You will be able to adjust *preload* on your coilovers. This indirectly adjusts ride height. It also changes the shock stroke and puts the stroke at different damping points in the shock. Whether or not this will have an adverse effect I can't say since I haven't tried it on the WRX but just be aware of it.

This is why high end adjustable coilovers have both adjustable spring perches (for preload) and threaded bodies to adjust ride height.
