Default General question about coilover camber plates

I just picked up my set of JIC FLTA-2s and I was trying to spin the top hats on the front struts and unlike the rubber tophat mounts on the stock struts or Sti top hats, i see no ball bearing assembly and the whole shaft wants to spin when i turn thetop hat. is this normal or will i have to worry about the coil sleeve wanting to spin with the struts, messing with the height every time i turn.

Looking at the pic of the front strut, when you turn the wheel, where along the axis the hell is the front strut supposed to spin?

Ed,

My Zero-2Rs had a ball joint at the top to rotate and turn the top hat during assembly. Not sure why these do not. I'm sure there's some method to the madness.

The way I adjust height is to loosen collar C and rotate the entire threaded shaft and strut with A or B (use A to lower, B to raise). The shaft rotates independantly of top that, lower mounting bracket, and spring.

We'll figure it out on Saturday or give me a call tonight.

I called JIC USA and they answered my questions. My front struts are supposed to spin along the damper shafts and thats how they're supposed to turn. I'll see ya on Saturday
