Only place I've found anything close to bubble tea around here is at Soho in Dupont Circle. I had the plum flavor once and became addicted, now every time I go up there they don't have it. You open one and I'll be the first one in! |

Lollicup and Ten Ren in College Park have them, but I much prefer Lollicup. And there is a Ten Ren in wintergreen plaza. I get the green milk tea. all the flavored ones taste weird, but alot of people get them like, mango, passion fruit, taro, papaya, melon, etc.

I've been thinking of opening up a small bubble tea store also, i hear they're all over california.
I'm thinking if a opened one up in Annandale the shop should make good deal of money. |

I had one at TenRen a few months ago, mango flavored, I think?? It wasn't that great, but I would like to try the green tea version. The one that I had tasted more like a solution than a drink
The ice cream shop in Tysons' food court has bubble tea, too; but I think they call it something else. Hmm... smells like a trademark!! |

Ten Ren is watered down, go to Lollicup in CP, they have so many different flavors and types like snow tea, yogurt tea, etc. And the coolest cups, heat sealed, no lids

Lollicup is located on the right side of the Maryland Book Exhange.
The place isnt facing RT.1, it's facing the Maryland Book Exhange. Get on Rt.1 from the inner loop and stay left. you'll pass the University of Maryland on your right and you'll see the Maryland Book Exchange on your left. There are meters for you to park your ride. A great location to have a bubble tea place would be inside Montgomery Mall in Rockville. It would make a killing there. Lollicup is the original bubble tea cafe, then came along Ten Ren... which to me isnt that great. They should make different flavor tapioca balls. |

There are a few shops in 7 corners in the Eden Center which serve them too. I have been told to try the Ten Ren's but never have time to make it there.
Now I miss them. |

There is a stand inside Columbia Mall that sells bubble tea too.
It's ok if you are really craving one, but if it's your first time getting one, go to Lollicup or Ten Ren. Andy P.S. bubble tea is "basically" iced tea, with tapiocca balls on the bottom. |

The drink with a thousand and one names
Sounds... well... sounds like I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Now.. tapioca is rice pudding is it not? Soooo, they brew tea, ice it, add these little rice pudding beads in it.. Do the beads have any taste?Hehe.. I just got a visual of somebody drinking one of these: Sip, chew chew chew, Sip, Chew chew chew, Sip, Chew chew chew Sorry, not making fun. Sounds like a lot of people enjoy it. With so many locations, I'm surprised Ihaven't heard of it though.Starbucks should watch out.... -Ron |

I turned to a guy I work with and asked, you ever heard of Bubble Tea, he says, "I just had some"
He said he gets it from a restaurant in the shoping center that has a subway (the sub shop) in it, in columbia (where I work) somewhere off of, or on Dobbin road. He couldn't remember the name of the restaurant though. |

HAHAHA!!! Oh, YES they have bubble tea! But, for an "entertaining" experience, please try the DURIAN drink with bubbles. You won't be disappointed! Let's just say that it can grow an inch of hair on your chest after one sip. |

Mr. Happy,
I forgot that place sells bubble tea. It is a vietnamese noodle place called An Loi. It's off snowden river parkway, in the taco bell shopping center. There is a subway on the other section of the shopping center. I think that is the place. The "slurp , chew chew chew" pretty much sums it up. Depending on where you order it, the tapioca pearls, may or may not have and flavor to it. It's just kinda doughy. |

Sheesh. The names of the drinks (the Durian Drink) sound like they came straight out of Final Fantasy:
"Here, Cloud my boy, take this Durian Drink to recuperate your strength, and Lichi Bubble Drink to regain stamina!" My curiousity is Peaked, I must try one of these![]() |
