close to revlimit ..i think around 130+.. give or take a couple of mph. Going to Toronto (pre-SARs days ) with 2 friends and the A/C on. I took a pic of the guage but of course you can't tell I went over 120mph since our gauges stop there.... it was kinda hard to hold the wheel and take the pic at that speed, but definitely exciting.

I hit about 120 back in January and my car's chip shut it down so I felt it braking. Just Wednesday I hit about 110 on the freeway in between DFW heading to the Mavericks game cause it had an earlier start as compared to last week. What's messed up is some fool was tailgating me in a white Chevy Tahoe and flashing his brights at me the whole time I was going 80 with his hazard lights on. I finally moved over so I could see him and yell ***! and he kept flying by, I then tailed him flashing my brights on him to return the favor and that's when I hit about 110 and he was still going faster so I said screw it, I'm not gonna get pulled over.

I think that guys' been driving around DFW like that for at least four years. I had to deal with him a couple of times when I lived there. Oh, wait, maybe it was just some other asshat.

Anyhoo, I've only hit around 90 on the highway, staying up with the flow of traffic, mind you. Fun to do, but a little un-nerving in a little bit of traffic. Shortens the trip, though, in terms of time.

I remember seeing a picture of someond maxing out a P1 on Scoobynet somewhere on a French autoroute. I think his speedometer said 160mph or something nuts like that.

I don't normally drive above 85 mph (Florida has a 70 limit), however an occasional trip home from Miami across Alligator Alley (90 miles of straight road with 2 exits and rarely policed) gives me a chance to let it go. Our '02 OBS seems to have a higher limit, probably because of the final drive ratio with the 4EAT.

115 in my olds achieva i used to have, also did that speed in my first car a crysler lebaron... Dont worry, it was just for like 2 seconds, and in a completely empty stretch of highway 101 in central cali south of Salinas

As for my Impreza, not much over 90... I dont think I could go any faster if I wanted to

i've hit 130 in my audi. when i did my friend in the car almost made me crap my pants. i was trying to hit my rev limiter which is at 135 when he exclaimed OH ****! WE JUST PASSED A COP! at that speed i was looking at the road very closely and thinking how did i miss a cop. i immediately hit the binders and took the nearest off ramp, which is when he explained the cop was on a road running parallel to the opposite side of the freeway and was busy harassing another traffic law violator. it still really freaked me out though.

I've hit the rev limiter a few times, which is somewhere around 113mph on my '01 Impreza L.
I was suprised at how well the thing handles at that speed, no shaking, it Imprezed the hell out of me,lol.

Probably around 125 mph

NE extension of the PA turnpike is a great run. I was hauling ass down a stretch, hit my top speed then slowed down to about 100. Saw red/blue lights flashing in the distance behind me, thought it was over and the cuffs were going to be put on me. I slowed down to about 65 and pulled over to the far lane. Fortunately the cop flew right by me to get to an accident. Very close call.

Honestly though, anything over 110mph is very fast

Can someone give me directions to the American Autoban?

Between 115/118 mph. I *theoretically* got it up to around there this weekend running against a Regal GS (I think they're supercharged IIRC.)

Can't wait to see what a motor swap w/an RS drivetrain will produce. (knocks on wood for new job that'll give me the motor swap)

turbo'd. at their debut they were the fastest domestic production car ever made, in the 1/4 mile at least.

This past March, I was on one of my weekend runs to Hunter Mtn. 5:30AM, Sun was just comin up, 20'F outside. I open it up between exits 19 & 20. Passed the rest area just before exit 20 right as my speedo maxed out at the very bottom. I figured around 125 due to the cold air and a slight downhill grade. As I'm goin by the rest area, I see him. Mr. NY State trooper comin out of the porto-potty. I panic a little, but figure he's out of his car, so what's he gonna do. I move to the left lane to get off at exit 20. So I'm in the exit lane when Mr. Trooper hits me with the lights. I pull over just before the toll plaza. He comes up to the car and says "any reason you're goin 91"? I told I had to pee. He tells me proceed to the Mickey D's after the toll. So he follows me into the parking lot, I run in and pee. When I come out he calls me over to the car, hands me my license, reg, ins and a ticket for 91 in a 65, and unsafe lane change. Court date is on the 5-20.

By the way. Whatever the outcome of the ticket is, it will have been totally worth it to see my speedo buried at the bottom.
