Default yes and no...

As far as rotating goes, do it however you want...the old idea that a tire shouldn't "roll backwards" isnt true anymore, bias-ply tires are different. Most tires nowadays dont have the same characteristics. Unless it is designed to rotate a certain way "directional" or "asymetrical" then really you can rotate however you like. Front to back is the best way, but if you notice unusual tread wear then you should cross them...
