Default How to do the BOV Modification?

I was reading in the latest Sport Compact Car about how some people had mashed the top of the stock BOV to force it to bleed less air during gear changes.

Has anybody out there done this? if so is it worth it?

If anyone has any info including how it is done I would really appreciate it!

I already did a search and found nothing on this mod.

it's an old DMS trick. take 2 boards and sandwich the BOC in a vice and cruch the top in a few mm. effectively created a tighter spring as to reduce boost leakage at high psi. i wouldn't do it to a WRX BOV.

There is zero advantage. DSM guys would do it because their BOV would leak badly at higher than stock boost levels. The WRX stock BOV can handle more than enough pressure unless you go above ~20psi.
