Default S-AFC ups and downs

i am getting an afc and was just wondering how many of u guys have one and how much of an improvement it was. I am getting a pretty good deal on one (150) and figured it wouldn't hurt.

I have txs turboback, gfb pullies, greddy intake, and mbc set at 15 and with these mods and some pretty hellacious driving i was able to muster a 13.25 @101.?? so i am hoping and praying that 12s are capable with an afc. i might be expectin to much but it is still a helpful mod.

I was also if anyone had some maps for it

thanks

Honestly.. useless without a wideband O2 or a dyno with a wideband O2. No way to tell what your a/f is without one. Not with any degree of reliability anyways.

Air/Fuel gauges are crap. They are not accurate enough to tune with as they run out of range fast. And an EGT gauge is not a tool to tune with using only it by itself. Like Crazyhorse said you need a Wideband in order to tune it safely. But you could always get the AFC and get it tuned by someone who has the proper tools and gauges.

Just be careful whatever you do.

if i took it to an allwheel drive dyno (i'm sure they will be capable of tuning) do they have machines that they hook up to my car that can read these things or do they rely on my gauges etc.

i know how a dyno works but if i recall they rely on your gauges to tune with

Go to Knowledge Performance in Woodstock, GA. they are probably the closest AWD Dyno to you that will be able to help you tune the AFC. Yes they will have all of the tools to monitor your car properly. Give Kevin a call and tell him what you got and what you want to try and achieve and he will take it from there.
