Default Help Me! Help Me Please!

my car just one day decided not to work. I can't build boost for nothing. Gauge stays in vacuum. Checked all my vacuum lines, and FMIC hoses, didn't find any leaks. Dont really have a clue to what may have happened, or why. Anything ideas? Please help.

I used to have an SBC-ID in mine and it would occasionally check out on me. Try initializing it. That would usually cure mine. Good luck.

mike..

how do you initialize it?? Also hear like a clunk when I release the throttle cable while im under the hood. Sound like something from the wastegate isnt working. Like its not closing, maybe its stuck open, which is not letting me build any boost. Also I was told to check some kind of clip the is on the wastegate, it may have fallen off..

Inintialize is an operation you can choose from the settings menu I think. Look around it's in there somewhere. As far as the wastegate goes that's a definate possiblity. You want to check to see if the arm coming out of the wastegate is secured(otherwise there will be no pressure on it) and that the clip that secures it is in place. Try opening and closing the wastegate manually to see if it is actuating with out sticking. @ 15psi it should hold just fine if everything is in order. Other things to check, The vaccum lines from turbo to boost controller and to wastegate. Check for leaks or disconnection. Double check for boost leaks, loose intercoolerpiping. Is it making any boost? Should still make 8 psi or so even if the wastgate is blown open. Less than that and I would say your compressor is having issues. Let me know if I can help any more.

M,

I checked the actuator rod , and its still in tact, the c clip is also there. Pushed the actuator rod manually, and feels like its still good. When i put me ear next to the wastegate, and release the throttle, I hear this click, or clunk sound. Im pretty sure its something inside the housing, maybe the door is broke. Hesitant to take it to the dealer, because they will take one look at the mods, and send me away without any warranty coverage.
I'll let you know what i find out, Thanks.

Sounds like its time to take your turbo back off and have a look at the wastegate door.
