Question cow tipping

random i know. but for everyone out there that has gone cow tipping, have you ever actually tipped a cow over? friends and i have gone out numerous times throughout this semester at all hours of the night (usually after drinking) and tried to find cows to tip over.
we always find cows, but one of three things happens
1) they run away really quickly
2) we get 5 feet from them then they move away, only allowing us to run after them
3) there are bulls in the group which wind up running after us (not fun)

I was just wondering if anyone has actually tipped a cow before, and i guess if people other than drunk Oklahoma college kids have tried it.

PEACE OUT

I think this is some sort or cowboy myth. Cows are lighter on their feet that some people realize. I doubt a 150-200lb guy running up on a 2000lb cow will have much effect.

They do run away when you get close. (speaking from experience)

i live in Tulsa, one of maybe 3 towns that can be considered a city, in Oklahoma. but i go to school in a town that is just a college town so it's not developed at all (stillwater). It really sucks here and i'd rather be in a good city, but the cow tipping is mainly a drunkn' thing.
i'd much rather be somewhere other than oklahoma, but i'm stuck here until i graduate. =\

long story short:
ive got a story about horses. my brother and a couple of his friends got drunk one night and went over to this guys house who has a couple horses. they jumped the fence and started petting a horse. one of the dudes got onto the horse...and one of the other guys punched the horse in the face. the horse started running like crazy, the kid fell off and hurt his ass.

Dude! Cow tipping doesn't work. I tried it.

Myself and 2 of my close buddies tried it when we were in highschool. We even went as far as running full blast into the side of a cow in a effort to knock it over. They don't fall over.

I do know one thing... M-80 firecrackers make for a good start to a stampede.

Saddly.. I know people that have.. Not sure if you you would call Kingwood, hickville.. but I guess that's all there is to do.

p.s. I was told that it takes at least 2-3 people to tip a cow.

I grew up on a cattle ranch. Cow tipping is a myth. That is all.

Snipe hunting is cool, though.

Cheers,
Grant

They're protected as a migratory species. You shouldn't hunt them.

Actually I take that back... I didn't realize they are considered a game species in the fall. I can't believe it.

Amazing, snipe hunting has gotten really popular, I went on my first hunt when I was 10. I've been hooked ever since. There;s even a whole website dedicated to it. Snipe Hunter's Association

A friend of mine told me that when he was in cub scouts, he knew there was a snipe hiding under a rock. He got a kid to put his hand under the rock, and he actually touched the snipe!

He must have been really good at doing the snipe call to get that close.

umm, every cow i've seen does not sleep standing up, my grandparents had a farm, all the cows that i've seen sleeping are laying down... so of course if you walk up to a cow when they are just standing around they are gonna run..., but yes.. everyone should go snipe hunting once in their life, that is fun stuff
