Well, I'm both a father and a son. Do I count? Sorry to be a Jack ass, I couldn't resist. I drive a black sedan, 5spd.

Actualy my father nearly bought the new LLBeanH6, but went with a Volvo T5 instead. So close.

My daughter is 3, I'd love to get her an older Impreza 2.0(it'd realy be a project car, but we all need an excuse), but I doubt the better half would allow it. She'd say something about how my daughter is too young to have a car and some such nonsense... The girl gets her fingernails painted, I think she's old enough to have a car. And Daddy would have to make it a cool car

Cool

when i got my RS (MY00 coupe w/ a real tranny) she decided that her MY93 celica gt just didn't cut it anymore, esp in the rain/snow. so she went out and got a MY00 legacy gt sedan. manual, of couse, she raised me right its a good thing she doesn't post here or she would find out about all of the stupid stuff i do to my car that is too stupid to tell her (like testing AWD's in-flight capabilites )

Well, my dad would love an RS, but its not practical. My girlfriend may get an OBS and unlike 10th Warrior, I do have to watch what I say because she reads the board a few times a day.

I'm a newbie and a Dad too. Xmetal in this club, is my oldest son and sold me his 98 RS 2.5 5-speed. We plan on showing up at the Detroit Auto show and I'll get to meet all you fellow club members. Looking forward to it. Don't worry, I'm not some grey-haired, overweight, old-guy kinda' dad. Even my kids say I'm cool for my age. I ride road racing bikes and mountain bikes too to keep in shape. Finally I have a cool, fast car to drive after years of being a closet car-guy that was stuck driving minivans. Lord help me from a fate like that ever again! I grew up in the days of Detroit muscle cars and have an older brother who has had Porsches in his past, so I've driven cool, fast cars before. I also have a 1997 Outback wagon that my wife drives. We are now a double Subaru family and love AWD!

See you at Cobo Hall.
