How about mid August? Out of Long Beach Sportfishing on the El Dorado, great boat and crew, 85' sleeps about 45. Depart Saturday night about 9:00PM fish San Clemente Island and return Sunday about 8:00PM Free parking, great galley. A good group would be up to 35 which leaves plenty of deck room. Vessel has been recently repowered.

If someone will be chartermaster, I will bring some "extras" from Subaru.
I can easily get 5/6 people.

Mike Redlew, landing owner, boat owner.

dang! havent been on a boat in while...too many projects to do rite now. Last time I went fishing was last year float tubing @ cabrillo beach catching flatties with live bait. Heard fishing has been slow lately, even in mexico? Been on the El Dorado a while back Great Boat / Crew.

Late summer is best with the warmer water for surface biggies.

Anyone up for bass fishing? My dad has a nice bass boat with a 4 stroke on it. What are the good bass fishing lakes around here?

hmm, pretty much any lake w/ bass in it i guess. i know castaic has 'em but bass is so much harder to fish for. laguna niguel in southern orange county has a nice paylake ($10) that has some big jawhook trout from utah.

Rotorex: what/where do you fish normally? hansen dam is in the sf valley but castaic is a bit better cuz u sometimes feel all stupid fishing in a totally manmade perfect square "lake" next to a darn lifeguard in a yellow truck...who checks licenses too. I wanna go like on a weekday if possible but weekends are cool too, just crowded

Re: ocean fishing: The Cat Special is moving south somewhere from Channel Islands Harbor. I think that was the only "bigger" boat up there with bunks, though I may be wrong. The fish and game is closing a lot of areas around C.I. to sport fishing.
I think a salt water charter is a great idea anytime in mid to late summer if we can get enough interested in really really fresh sashimi.

No bananas, no full moon.
