I had a 6 foot male for a few years, but I moved and couldn't keep him. If you end up having trouble selling her, I have a friend up here who is a licensed breeder and he does rescues and such. If the cage is super nice, you shouldn't have any prob selling her though. Good luck.

any of you interested in getting a snake, a red tail is a good one to start out with they are not too snappy and make good pets.

I got a Bali Yellow Yead Retic that is just a little baby and about 6 feet long. Great snake and way pretty but once you feed him you have to pretty much write him off for about 3 days, as his prey reaction is pretty nasty and he has no problem biting you once he has eaten.

I've always been confused as to why people would want snakes or spiders, etc for pets

If your wondering why, then it's not for you I guess. I'm not really sure what it is about reptiles, but I've had 2 Ball Pythons, a mexican milksnake, a red tail boa, and 2 Leopard Geckos. I guess for me, it's just the behavior of a reptile that I got interested in. Maybe it is the unpredicatability of having something that could potentially turn on me, oh wait, I have a girlfriend for that I just have always been intrigued by snakes, ever since I was little and my cat would bring them in the house. I was the one summoned to find them, and remove them from the house.

snakes:

do not bark

do not need to be walked

REALLY mess their food up

do not need love or extra attention

allow you to go away for 2 weeks and they will still be there when you get back

could give a fig about doing tricks (aside from the food part)

and

only need a itty bitty cage to live in

good enough for me
