I just follow the maintaince chart since the car is serviced by Specialty anyway. Usually, when you can't really see thru the filter when you hold it up against the sun/light is a good time to change. As for K&N filters, you have to raise and wash them and I have no idea how long that takes since I use OEM filter.

K&N are good I use one on my car, they flow much better than stock, you never have to replace them ,just wash it with some cleaner ,that you can buy

I put a K & N filter in about 4 weeks ago. Slightly smoother acceleration in the bottom end. It's the eco-friendly part that I like, too. One filter for the rest of your car's life seems like a good idea to me.

May be you can ask for some detail in person during the show this Sunday. I bet there would be at least 1 with K&N filter.

The service interval for the stock air filter is replacement after every 24k kms. If you've taken your car into service at 24k, then the filter should have been replaced.

Since you're approaching 48k, I'd say anytime within the next 2k kms is fine.

If you haven't changed your stock filter at all, then better change it soon!!!!

2000 should have the same engine as the 01 and 02, so there should only be 1 bolt that you need to take off to get to the filter inside the air box, that's the hex bolt (I believe it's a 12mm) on the right side of the air box

it's quite minimal, but there is a change in acceleration and sound...or maybe it's just my wishful thinking!

Don't get what you mean... Changing the intake pipe is fine... the officer that once popped my hood as I was caught speeding never said a word about the shiny intake pipe from PDM racing, he also looked pretty disappointed that it was all the mod I had...

Check it out, for $55 USD from PDM racing you can't lose
