Question Any performance gain from an improved radiator?

I saw a C&R radiator posted at kastle's and want to know what benefits it would give a NA RS?

not really necessary unless your boosted and running much hotter engine temps that require the more effecient and faster cooling properties of that radiator....

If you notice your radiator fan is always kickin in, then that's a suspicion that you're going to need a better cooling radiator. You should always check the thermostat first before considering the radiator... unless it's leaking.

I have a '00 RS and just put the C&R radiater in the car this January. Reason for the change was one of the seams in a plastic coolant tank cracked and I was loosing coolant. I picked up the C&R because I am planning for an engine swap and a larger radiater won't hurt (wife also let me), also it is repairable if there are additional problems. The differences are that the C&R is larger, the fans are more effective, and louder and it looks great. Since you also have an RS a couple things to remember are that you have to bend the lower AC line on the driver side, and if C&R didn't do it already, trim some extra aluminum off the side of the bracket holding the overflow tank. As for benefits, the car runs cooler.

Is there any looseness of the piping and radiator after fitting it? Overflow tank? So how does it look like installed? You'll probably guess my next question... How about some pictures with it installed?

After the mentioned modifications the fit is fine no problems at all. I did fail to mention two points: The harness for the fan is different from stock but that is minor. Also, the line running to the overflow tank is a different size. It looks great installed, I just wish the front was not obstructed by the AC...can't see the C&R logo on the front. As for pictures, I have to get some but it will have to wait, leaving for vacation in a couple hours. Planning to swing by Teague's Auto for headers and cat.
