Default Big Idea for June 6, all read!!!

Ok, so had an Idea.
now June 5th will be the big dinner again (Thursday) and I will make it this time! Sorry about last time .
Now I should also have my STI then (assuming it is done and all the work has been done to it)

AND, it is also my birthday!

SO, Fast and the Furious 2 comes out that night. I know, everyone is gonna say it will suck, and I agree, but hey, I am gonna still see it, and I know you all are too! So suck it up and admit it, you wanna go for the cars just lik me...

So, here is my idea. We meet in Springfield, all go see the movie, then all go down to the Berlin turnpike that night afterwards. And i will even lt you all buy me drinks! (haha, not really, but I feel old, turning 25 which is not bad, but when people say you are a quarter century old, it seems so much older).

So whats everyone think? Anyone game? I already got 4-5 cars going (assuming my STI is in, which it better be!)

let me know, and email me if you are in or got questions

I refuse to even drive my car for the first two or three days that the movie debuts. I don't need the attention.

You're probably being sarcastic above... but if you're not, going out for drinks for a birthday and driving your brand new car doesn't sound like the hottest idea.

Just be safe...

I sure am not going to go in my car the firsts nights either, too much attention, prone to mayor key scratches, and cops giving away free tickets.

The first Thursdays of every month are actually DINNER meets which invloves consuming food. Going to the movies isnt a bad idea but it really doesnt work with a night out to eat. There isnt enough time for both. As far as the Berlin tpke is concerned, I will never spend/waste another evening of my life cruising up and down that cop and rice infested hell hole. I dont know if you've been down there lately, but its pretty lame.

Even more of a reason to not take it out those days. It's honestly not that the car is orange. All of these "my car is a cop magnet" threads amuse me. The car is painted a loud color with a developing sticker motif, has a cgae, is fully gutted, and has a semi loud exhaust. Oh, and did I mention it has mega-thick tires under her and I wear a baseball cap religiously?

I live 3 to 5 minutes away from it, and I haven't been there since THAT night. Finally got my reply from the infractions office, and am waiting to hear if it will be nollied or not.
You could not take me to the Berlin Turnpike with somebody else driving. I'd rather die than go out there again.
As for F&TF2... I wouldn't even waste my $ on that movie!

So as an excuse for not going...
I'm going to be at a WRX meet in Guam.

Movie theaters are a great place for car theives. if you get a bunch of people together:
1) don't bring your brand new STI
2) don't all park together
you'd be just asking for something to happen that night.
like some punk kid comming out of th emovie before you and deciging your wing would make a great movie souvenier.

Megastar has a security car that drives around. Plus I'm not going to start being one of those anal people worrying about my car constantly, if something gets stolen, oh well inusrance covers it. My friend owned an SI and he'd constantly be worried of it getting stolen, I wanted to smack the crap out of him.

There is a difference between worrying about it and asking for trouble. 20 WRX's parked together will attract attention, plain and simple.

I gotta admit - the w/e TFAFT2 comes out, I refuse to even pay attention to any other cars on the road. No revving, no racing, and no speeding. The cops know the movie is out as well, and I am sure they have a zero tolerance policy.

And what you think a bunch of kids are going to go up to a group of 20 cars and screw with me when a security cruiser is driving around, I doubt it.

Unfortunatly I can't go. My girfriend is due to pop in about a week so I don't expect to have any free time for a while.
I don't worry about my car that much. I am just carefull with it. I have seen a lot of things happen in movie parking lots and I was just trying to help you guys out. I don't want to see posts the next day about bad things happening to your cars.
