I wonder is any of our island brethren would be kind enough to post a sound file of thier sti exhaust note?

I'll see what I can do but I can tell you it's defenetly noticable!

It's a deep sound at idle. well, it's a straight through muffler design.

Nice to hear. What kind of sounds are we talking? Is it like a WRX with an exhaust but with more low burble and deep sounds?

I have a scooby sports turbo back on my Wrx. Its MUCH quieter
than the scooby sports. On the gas it sounds okay. Its got the classic subaru sound.

I don't know what the traditional subaru sound is. Since I'm used to my camaro, do you think I would consider it a little ricey?

No. Subaru's have a very unique sound. Its hard to explain.

though that is the 2.0L sti, not the USDM 2.5T, thats the one I'd really like to hear
